who are you?

The Spring semester is approaching, and we want to welcome all of our new students!  We have 12 new students joining the 30 from last semester! Now it is time to get to know one another.  Click here to read up on the students who started last fall.

My name is Landon, and I currently live in Tupelo, MS. Obviously, I am the Director of Education and Development at Destiny and oversee Destiny Leadership Institute.

I enjoy reading—I read mostly biblical studies and theology, but I also enjoy philosophy, history, and biographies.  I love football, especially my Alma Mater, Mississippi State University.  I am a long distance running and am currently training for my first marathon.

I am passionate about educating and empowering Christian leaders to reach their full potential.  I know many educated leaders that lack the passion and spirit-empowerment. I also know many fiery, Spirit-filled leaders that lack basic biblical and theological knowledge.  It is my dream to bring balance to both of these camps.

What about you?  Who are you?  Where do you live? Where do you serve?  Tell us about your family, your interests and hobbies, and your perceived ministry calling.

I can’t wait to get to know you all better.

Arlene and I have been married 52years, meeting at a UPC church where we're had both been saved and baptized. We attend grace community itch Tina and Travis, she being a fellow student. We attended a global conference in Phoenix in October and felt called by dr brass field and Landon to pursue this venture, even if we are past 50. God has us thar it is never to late to learn and serve. God bless.

Welcome to all that are joining DLI this semester! It was great getting to interact with some of you on the webinar back in December. The DLI journey is challenging but rewarding! There is always someone available to assist with any questions or problems. I do not mind if you want to contact me if I can help. If you want to discuss the studies we are doing I am game. Eddie and I go to WOLC, Tupelo together, that is where Landon is currently also, therefore we get to talk a good bit. Again, welcome to an amazing journey!!!!!

GREETINGS EVERYONE!!! My name's Josmery (sounds like "jo-zmary")and I am 25 years old! I am superly duper excited to be on this journey with all of you! Thank you to those from last semester's group who welcomed us newbies so warmly :) A bit about myself: I've been married for almost one full year!! (Glory!) My husband and I work alongside Stephen Samuels (above) with a ministry at our Alma Mater, Lamar University. God is growing and moving, as always, the hearts of His people. It's so AWESOME to be a part. Most importantly, I love Thai food. My three favorite colors are brown, purple and pink, though not necessarily together. We just acquired a fish we named "ichthys"... which I think is hilarious. Umm.. if you've never tried salty ridged chips inside a PB&J, you're missing out. Cheers!
