Fall 2011
Course Description: This course is designed to give you a clear, usable understanding of the Bible. Max Anders will take you step-by-step through the Bible, teaching you the fundamental structure and flow of Scripture. The blogs and webinars will introduce you to basic methods of Bible study, and the audio lectures of Ray Stedman will show you how these basic methods shed light upon the texts.

Course Plan:
1. Keep a log of all hours spent doing course work. You must document at least 45 hours. Submit to your on-site supervisor at the end of the course.
2. Complete 30 Days to Understanding the Bible. Fill in all the blanks and answer all the questions. Submit to your on-site supervisor at the end of the course.
3. Log in to www.destinyleadership.com, listen to the first five lectures of Ray Stedman’s Adventuring through the Bible, and complete the accompanying quizzes. Quizzes consist of objective questions (multiple choice, matching, fill-in-the-blank, etc) and are open-note. You may even complete the quiz while listening to the lectures. You must listen to all lectures and take all quizzes by October 19th.
4. Log in to attend the live Webinar, “Understanding the Bible” on October 8th, 6:30-8:30 Central. Attendance is required.
5. Check the course blog weekly. New blogs, with material relevant to the course, will be posted each week. Interact with the bloggers and your fellow students in the comment section.
6. Log in to the Testing Center to take your Final Exam any time during the week of October 15th-19th. Final exam will consist of objective questions (multiple choice, matching, fill-in-the-blank, etc) and a couple of brief essays.

Workbook- 30%
Quizzes on Audio Lectures- 30%
Student Time Log- 10%
Participation (Webinar attendance, blog comments)- 10%
Final Exam- 20%
