Destiny Leadership Institute trains leaders within the context of the local church.  We currently offer two cores of study as preparation for the practice of Christian Ministry.  Each core includes five courses and an internship.  The program is designed to be user-friendly, practical, and academically sound.  We have coupled the latest internet technology with time-proven education delivery systems to cultivate the student's understanding of Scripture, ministry gifting, and personal life vision.  Our goal is to assist our students in laying firm foundations within their lives upon which they can build their leadership skills.

There are three essential components to the program:

1. Self-Directed Study 

Students receive textbooks, workbooks, and video lectures to complete at their own pace.  The materials have been carefully selected for theological soundness and practical application.  Testing and evaluation are conducted on the DLI web site through our state of the art testing modules.

2.  Interactive Lectures and Seminars

Students are required to attend internet webinars for each of the five courses in each core.  Video and audio lectures supplement the curriculum and provide students a form to discuss the material.  A range of live seminars are also conducted in local churches through the US and abroad providing students an opportunity to connect with our outstanding teaching faculty in a live classroom setting.          

3.  Internships

Each student is required to complete a practicum that consists of a one year internship in an approved ministry venue for each core of study.  These internships provide the hands-on experience that correspond to the curriculum and lectures and is critical to the students field-based ministry development.
